The Pantheon, Rome
The pantheon was built in 27 BC as a Roman temple, and rebuilt later in 118 AD. It has the largest dome ever constructed in ancient times, and the exact method of construction is unknown. In 609 AD it was converted to the Christian church of Santa Maria Rotonda, which it remains to this day.
