The Mémorial des Martyrs Français de la Déportation de 1945 (Deportation Memorial) is at the foot of Isle de la Cite, near Notre Dame. It is a well designed memorial as it confines the visitor between tall granite slabs and blocks out the sights and sounds of the nearby city.
