Central Bern
Bern, the Capital of Switzerland, is a smallish city on a steep hill nestled in the elbow of the Aare River. It maintains its medieval street plan and has covered arcades, fountains, and clock towers which are preserved well enough to make it a UNESCO world heritage site.
