R.W. Lindholm Service Station in Cloquet, MN. This gas station, near Duluth, MN is the only gas station designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and a rare example of a gas station designed by any well known architect. It is at the corner of Route 45 and Route 33. It was built in 1956 and features an impressive cantilever overhang over the gas pumps. There is a waiting room on the second level, and interesting steps, skylights, and detailing of the concrete block. This is perhaps one of the most interesting service stations in the world.
